The xSTORAGE is a removable logging storage system for BRICK and DATALynx measurement and recording systems and ensures fast, efficient and secure data handling. This flexible storage solution, available in a wide range of capacities and variants, adapts seamlessly to any application. The focus of the xSTORAGEs is on user-friendliness, emphasized by a simple sliding mechanism that makes inserting and removing the storage unit uncomplicated. In addition, the hot plug and hot swap capability of the removable storage units enables uninterrupted data exchange. The matching Encryption Manager based on TCG OPAL 2.01 offers highly secure protection against theft and cyber-attacks with its hardware-based encryption technology and ensures compliance with data protection guidelines and other security standards. It offers easy setup, automatic activation and user-friendly management for maximum security.

The xSTORAGE removable storage units offer encryption technology that is specially designed to comprehensively protect your sensitive data. On the one hand, this encryption is becoming increasingly important considering the constantly growing legal requirements of global data protection regulations such as the GDPR. On the other hand, hackers and other criminals are constantly developing new methods to gain access to unsecured data. In our digitalized world, data is increasingly becoming the target of cyberattacks. The encryption technology of xSTORAGEs creates reliable protection by ensuring that data in an encrypted state becomes unreadable and therefore worthless to third parties.
Password-protected encryption for mobile storage devices
A key feature of the Encryption Manager is the ability to assign a password when setting up the encryption, which enables or disables it. This function is particularly useful as it takes effect automatically as soon as the storage unit is disconnected from the host system or switched off. This mechanism is particularly valuable in mobile applications where there is a risk of storage devices being lost or stolen. This ensures that the data is not only secure during operation, but also when the device is at rest. The password creates a security barrier that effectively prevents unauthorized access to your data by third parties and therefore contributes to data security.

The simple setup is supported by an intuitively designed web interface that allows users without in-depth technical knowledge to effectively configure and customize the encryption settings. We also offer users the option of automating all functions using the implemented command line interface and implementing them via scripts.
Full write performance thanks to hardware support
The technology developed in accordance with the OPAL standard of the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) is deeply integrated into the mass storage devices used and offers AES-256 encryption on a hardware basis. This means that there is no loss of sustained write speed to the xSTORAGE storage units with simultaneous encryption.
