Password-protected encryption for mobile storage devices

A key feature of the Encryption Manager is the ability to assign a password when setting up the encryption, which enables or disables it. This function is particularly useful as it takes effect automatically as soon as the storage unit is disconnected from the host system or switched off. This mechanism is particularly valuable in mobile applications where there is a risk of storage devices being lost or stolen. This ensures that the data is not only secure during operation, but also when the device is at rest. The password creates a security barrier that effectively prevents unauthorized access to your data by third parties and therefore contributes to data security.

The simple setup is supported by an intuitively designed web interface that allows users without in-depth technical knowledge to effectively configure and customize the encryption settings. We also offer users the option of automating all functions using the implemented command line interface and implementing them via scripts.

Full write performance thanks to hardware support

The technology developed in accordance with the OPAL standard of the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) is deeply integrated into the mass storage devices used and offers AES-256 encryption on a hardware basis. This means that there is no loss of sustained write speed to the xSTORAGE storage units with simultaneous encryption.
