Description
The CODESYS Control Linux ARM SL is an adapted CODESYS runtime system for Linux/ARM-based platforms. The performance of the runtime system can be scaled almost arbitrarily using the hardware properties of the system.
The product is installed into the Linux operating system on the device via the CODESYS Development System using the included “CODESYS Deploy Tool” extension. After each restart, the runtime system starts automatically. Without a valid license, the runtime system runs for 2 hours without functional restrictions.
After installing the runtime environment, the device can be programmed as a PLC with the CODESYS Development System.
To use
The runtime system supports numerous I/O interfaces such as discrete input/output or fieldbus cards as well as integrated IEC 61131-3 protocol stacks. The fieldbuses are configured directly in the CODESYS development system without the use of additional tools.
- Communication with the CODESYS Development System for programming and debugging the IEC 61131-3 application
- Execution of control functions and creation of graphical user interfaces

Licensing | Private License . More details can be found in the license agreement.  Single device license: The license can be used on the controller on which the CODESYS runtime system is installed. The license activation takes place on a software-based license container (soft container) that is firmly tied to the controller. Alternatively, the license can be stored on a CODESYS key (USB dongle). By changing the CODESYS key, the license can be used on another controller. Note: Without a license, the software runs in demo mode for two hours. A manual restart is then required. |
