Description
Data is published via OPC UA. There are two ways to do this:
- Simply configure the symbols to be released using the symbol configuration based on an existing application.
- The use of OPC UA information models. These are supported generically. The contents of the information model are translated into the corresponding IEC data types and declarations.
The data sources are available for reception. The source can either be another CODESYS application or any OPC UA server.

Base License
This license also functions as an upgrade license to upgrade from an already purchased, application-based license (Base License) to a more powerful license. The costs of the license you have already purchased (Base License) will be fully credited.
The CODESYS Kommunikation S license is already included as standard in the runtime system license.
The base license must already be installed on the system, otherwise the license will be rejected during installation.

Licensing | Single device license: The license can be used on the controller on which the CODESYS runtime system is installed. The license activation takes place on a software-based license container (soft container) that is firmly tied to the controller. Alternatively, the license can be stored on a CODESYS key (USB dongle). By changing the CODESYS key, the license can be used on another controller. Note: Without a runtime license and without a license for OPC UA, the software runs in demo mode for two hours. A manual restart is then required. |
