Description
The CODESYS Control Linux SL turns an industrial PC into a high-performance PLC – scalable to almost any extent using the PC performance. The system is suitable for applications without strict requirements for real-time behavior.
To use
The runtime system supports numerous I/O interfaces such as discrete input/output or fieldbus cards as well as integrated IEC 61131-3 protocol stacks. The fieldbuses are configured directly in the CODESYS development system without the use of additional tools.
Communication with the CODESYS Development System, also for debugging the running application
Execution of control functions and creation of graphical user interfaces
Operation of the I/O systems and fieldbuses
Detailed information can be found in the CODESYS online help.
Interfaces
CODESYS OPC UA Server, as a full version for data exchange.
Visualization
CODESYS WebVisu is included as a full version in the delivery of the runtime package.

Licensing | Private License . More details can be found in the license agreement. Single device license: The license can be used on the controller on which the CODESYS runtime system is installed. The license activation takes place on a software-based license container (soft container) that is firmly tied to the controller. Alternatively, the license can be stored on a CODESYS key (USB dongle). By changing the CODESYS key, the license can be used on another controller. Note: Without a license, the software runs in demo mode for two hours. A manual restart is then required. |
